November 10, 2011 - A new study from Applied Research Center (ARC) examines the intersection of immigration and foster care, finding that over 5000 US foster children have parents who have been detained or deported by immigration authorities. December 02, 2010 - Mental health and disability rights advocates are suing state officials after Governor Schwarzenegger cut $130 million from a long-standing mental health program for schoolchildren. The lawsuit says vetoing AB 3632 violates federal mandates, and seeks to restore the funding. The governor says he cut the $130 million as part of the long-delayed state budget agreement.Read more »
