Big Bad Busted Budget Blues

- Yesterday, the Legislative Analyst's Office released a revision of its 2012-13 fiscal outlook, and its about as ugly as it could be. Their projection is that the state will fall $3.7 billion short of the $4 billion revenue increase included in the current year budget. Big Budget Update

- Friday was an important day in this year's budget cycle. Governor Jerry Brown signed 13 trailer bills that implement $11.2 billion of budget solutions (mostly cuts, and some rearrangements).
