June 02, 2011 - On April 6th, the U.S. Department of Heath and Human Services' Administration on Children, Youth and Families sent out a memo addressing the crisis facing gay teens in the child welfare system and encouraging local child welfare agencies to ensure their physical and emotional well being. May 12, 2011 - Gov. Jerry Brown’s proposed realignment of the state’s juvenile prison system was examined in a new report by the Center on Juvenile and Criminal Justice in San Francisco.
