Here’s what FYA Individual Member Larry Robbin has to say:

“Many people say they are concerned about the plight of foster youth but don’t know what to do to help. I think two of the best ways to help are to do some volunteer work with a foster youth serving organization and to join the Alameda County Foster Youth Alliance. Supporting this organization is the best way I know to give support to a wide network of foster youth agencies that collectively work with thousands of foster youth. The Alliance has a very small staff but a huge impact through service provider trainings, convening important meetings, providing an outstanding newsletter and working in a variety of ways on every issue that effects foster youth. Because the organization operates with a minimum of overhead you can be sure that your membership dues are really being translated into action on behalf of foster youth. It would also be a great place to volunteer. The ripple effect of your membership dollars will really touch the lives of a lot of foster youth. So put your concern about foster youth into action and join the Foster Youth Alliance right now!”
