From FYA member BAYC: Strengthening Your Inner Swagger This interactive workshop will introduce participants to strategies BAYC staff use to build safe and trusting relationships with youth, and support youth in building their capacity to change negative soundtracks and show fierce love for themselves and their community.
From FYA member WestCoast Children’s Clinic: The Real World J2C Members of the Youth Advocate Program (YAP) will lead a panel and small group discussion focusing on positive identity development.

This training, led by Lanita Mims, will teach you how to support parents of youth in care and how to work with them to get the services they need and encourage them to move forward to support the youth. DETAILS HERE
Please take a moment to write a letter in support of AB 2093, sponsored by CYC and authored by Assemblymember Nancy Skinner. This bill would request campuses of the California Community Colleges, California State University, and University of California to designate a foster youth campus support program coordinator using new or existing resources to provide comprehensive support to students who are current or former foster youth on public postsecondary educational institution campuses. FYA member Beyond Emancipation is hosting a series of "Baby and Me" infant and toddler workshops for pregnant and parenting youth ages 16 to 24 and their children. The workshops will utilize The Incredible Years curriculum. An 8-week series starting April 16th will be for parents with 0-12 olds. DETAILS HERE
