August 10, 2011 - The
State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) has released a
Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) and Application for the 2011 Federal Emergency Shelter Grant Program. Applicants can apply for one year of funding of up to $132,000 for operations or services funding for emergency shelters and transitional housing or for homelessness prevention programs in specified cities and counties within California. To determine if your project is located in an eligible city, see Attachment A, Parts 1 and 2 of the NOFA. Applicants must provide evidence of site control and all applications are due September 1, 2011 by 5:00 p.m. This NOFA and Application is being released under the current Federal Emergency Shelter Grant regulations, and not the Emergency Solutions Grant regulations, yet to be released.
