January 20, 2011 - Laney College is currently recruiting for The Introduction to Energy Efficiency Retrofitting course of study, which trains low-income East Bay residents between the ages of 18-24 in technical skills for energy efficiency, water conservation and renewable energy. Students will learn job skills for Energy Efficiency Upgrades: Retrofitting buildings to improve energy efficiency with measures such as insulation, weather stripping, duct sealing and efficient lighting.
Graduates of this 10 week course of study will be prepared for continuing education and/or employment in the growing green building sector.
