December 22, 2010 - b2b is recruiting current and former foster youth for its Fall 2011 cohort. The b2b Learning Community is a collaboration between Laney Community College’s EOPS program and Beyond Emancipation that is designed to support former foster youth at Laney Community College and to help them prepare for a satisfying and rewarding career.
The b2b Learning Community includes a two week college readiness course in Summer, 2011 to prepare students for college and offers case management, educational planning, and academic support on the Laney College Campus.
Eligibility requirements for b2b include:
· Former foster youth who will have a GED or high school diploma by June, 2011
· Former foster youth between 18-24 years of age
Interested applicants are encouraged to complete this application and cover sheet, and return to Stephanie McLemore at Beyond Emancipation. The deadline for application submission is January 31, 2011.
