July 29, 2009 - Yesterday, Gov. Schwarzenegger signed the budget but not before cutting nearly a half a billion dollars more from services, with the majority of the cuts hitting health and human services programs, including Child Welfare. State Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg was quoted as saying, "We question whether the majority of these vetoes are legal," and vowed to restore all of the governor's cuts.
