Next FYA Professional Development Training: September 8th

- The next FYA Professional Development Training will address Pregnancy Prevention and Talking with Youth about Sexuality with Joyce Lisbon. The training will be held Tuesday, September 8th, 9:30 to 12:30, in the ILSP classroom at 675 Hegenberger Road, Oakland. Budget Update

- Yesterday, Gov. Schwarzenegger signed the budget but not before cutting nearly a half a billion dollars more from services, with the majority of the cuts hitting health and human services programs, including Child Welfare. State Senate President Pro Tem Darrell Steinberg was quoted as saying, "We question whether the majority of these vetoes are legal," and vowed to restore all of the governor's cuts.
